COOKING WITH WILD EDIBLES: A CULINARY FORAGING ADVENTURE
Every Monday and Thursday, June through August.
$75 per person or $125 couple

Get your hands dirty in the Temagami wilderness in this workshop foraging for wild edibles and medicinals. Gently hike in the forest and discover a variety of indigenous plants that each tell a story about Temagami. Then follow the chef Caryn Colman into her kitchen and learn how to turn them into dinner. Wild mushrooms, stinging nettle, day lilies, dandelion, milkweed, rose petals and cedar are all fair game when it comes to breads, appetizers and desserts. You'll die for our wild rose ice cream!
This program is a combination of taste, activity and learning, featuring regional, organic ingredients and use of Smoothwater amenities.
Extend your stay and see more of the fascinating Temiskaming-Temagami. Drive off the Canadian Shield and visit the farms that feed cities!  Ask about our lodging and meal packages.
