Wind on the Water
When you see parallel streaks of foam on the water, it's windy -but how windy? The foam has come from lots of breaking waves stirring up organic matter in the water, creating a sudsing effect. In open water, this kicks in around 30 kilometres/hour or 15-20 knots. So next time you see foam, heads up!    More >
