Shuttle FAQs
+ How many canoes and passengers can you carry?
We can take up to 10 canoes and 9 passengers at a time.
+ What is your shuttle schedule?
Shuttles are by appointment; there is no regularly scheduled shuttle service to any of Temagami's access points. Call us to check availability (705-868-6464).
+ Can we meet you at our access point?
Whenever possible, you should come to our outfitting centre to choose your paddles and lifejackets, sign our waiver, and and finalize payment. We are conveniently located on the way to most popular shuttle destinations.
+ How much does it cost to shuttle only canoes?
Some people may prefer to drive themselves to their access point. **This does not change the price of the shuttle.** The shuttle price reflects the trip to the destination point and is the same whether or not we are carrying passengers.
+ How do we schedule a pick up?
Your pick up time is set before you begin your trip, depending on your preference and our availability. It is your responsibility to be at the designated pick up location on time.
Most people like to be picked up around 2 or 3 pm if they are returning to Toronto or Ottawa. If staying at our lodge, a later time may be preferable.
+ What happens if we're early? Can you pick us up earlier?
If you arrive at the pick up location earlier than expected, and have the means to contact us, you may request an earlier pick up. We do our best to accommodate such requests, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to rearrange our schedule.
+ What happens if we're late to the pick up?
Paddlers are sometimes unable to reach the pick up location on time. If you have a communication device, please alert us to your updated arrival time. We will do our best to meet at that time.
Otherwise, we will wait at the pick up location as long as our schedule permits. If we have left by the time you arrive, you will need to call us to confirm a new meet time. We will return as quickly as possible. The second shuttle will be charged at full price.
